So in a sense then dove ingredients at some stage have been tested on animals , am I understanding that correctly, but as a whole product once completed it is not further tested ?

I took it as face value because I asked twice and they said that "they couldn't guarantee that some of the ingredients hadn't been tested on animals in the past. But Dove as a product had not been tested on animals" to me, that was a red light, bye bye Dove. But that is my opinion.

I dunno, I took it as in the past (like nearly every product we've ever used in our lives over the years) they did test on animals but now they don't. "Past" is the key word for me. If they stopped using animals for testing, why would you not use them now?

Anyone use Revlon makeup? I don't know if they are still doing the Draize test on rabbits but they stopped and then restarted again. This was about 15 years ago when they restarted it. No one ever mentioned this again. I don't use their products for the sole reason they started it up after stopping the testing on animals. that Draize test is awful.
