Hi guys, My Mum is just about to adopt a Westie from Many Tears rescue, he is a lovely 3 year old ex stud dog, but as I was looking at the many tears site I was totally shocked at how many poor exhausted looking ex breeding females there are and a huge number of Bichons among lots of other poor little breeds...I am sure they are from puppy farms (alot of the rescues are from Ireland and brought over to the UK, put with Foster parents until they can hopefully secure forever home, in Ireland I think Dogs are sent to the pound and put to sleep if they are not found homes in 24 hours!).......the poor dogs look exhausted and haunted and they are generally between 3 and 5 years old. I just wanted to post on here as I felt so upset about it and if anyone is thinking of adopting or fostering or knows someone who is perhaps consider many tears rescue I think they do a really good job.

Oh that sounds terrible. hope there are lots of people out there that have forever homes for them.
I hope there are homes for them too. Poor little loves, dogs don't deserve to be treated this way for human whim.
I know they really do not deserve to live so miserably, What is so awful is that it is like battery farming dogs, and the lucky ones are the those that end up exhausted and finished up at the age of 4/5 at a rescue I can't bear to think what happens to the unlucky ones, I know very little about the laws in Ireland regarding puppy farms but I am going to look into it.
Its very true and we do send money to all rescues worldwide to help the fight against puppy farming and those facing death.
The law in Ireland is about to change but has been incredibly watered down for those breeding greyhounds etc, sadly that means that what could have stopped many will now encourage them to go further.
At least these have a chance of finding a forever, loving home. My heart goes out to all those poor dogs that dont get a chance.
