Well where do i begin with this one..... i have been attending dog shows now for 3 years, showing my Havanese, and i have never been so discusted, as to what i witnessed today.

Some Members of the Hav club of Great Britain, always sit together at the ring side, sniggering and talking behind books and hands, looking down there noses at anyone who dare to be new at a show.

And because the majority of the dogs shown belong to these people in one way or another, you will hear clapping, cheering, whistleing, when the dogs get placed, which is good as it does create an atmosphere.

What i find discusting is..... today a dog got placed 1st, and oh my gosh it was a dog that didnt belong to them..................... SILENCE and i mean SILENCE, apart from a few gasps and huffs. I really could not believe what i was seeing in fact i clapped so hard myself because i felt so sorry for the competitor, and i got a few dirty looks thrown my way, but hey that dog won 1st and deserved a clap, a cheer just like all the others.

These people are members of the Hav Club, and there behaviour today was damn right rude, ignorant, self centered, and selfish.

Are they suppossed to represent the breed club as being a happy friendly club to join, if so they are failing.

A nasty group of people, who think they own the show ring. Well im just glad i dont belong to a CLICK,nor would i want to be,i would hate to be thought of like that.

The lady who won the 1st did hear me clapping, and it was noted by her that i was the only person.

Shame on you Breed Club Members:T:
WELL DONE CAROL
yes I have to agree this particular club are by far the worst I have ever seen.

Good for you girl! Well donefor your fantastic sucess also. Quite rightly put I think. T.W.A.T.S all of em! X
Good on you Carol. And well done to the lady whose dog beat the lot of them. Hope it happens more often in future. xx
me too then we wont have to listen to them anymore, the silence would then be funny
:q:Horrible people, I have never been to a dog show and from what I have read of them I'm not sure that I could. I did go to a "Fun day" during the summer in aid of a local rescue centre who I always supportanyway. They had lots of fun competitions which were good and enjoyable for dogs and owners but they also had proper classes and I couldn't believe the competition amongst owners to win and as you say it was obviously clicky, can't bear it.
Val come along to one as a spectator, it really is good day out, and can be very entertaining. Sarah Chris and Sue come all the time they love it.
Val, Please do come. We do not bitch, we go for the enjoyment of the show. It is good to see how the dogs do and we try and guess which one will be placed where. I have see some amazing dogs and met a lot of lovely people. It is well worth coming. Plus the added bonous is there are loads of good stalls to buy lovely goodies for our dogs. I am also learning how to show. Ignore all the crap and just go and support some fellow dog owners and then maybe all this crap and bitching can be eliminated if more of us go who want to support the doggies. Sarah xxx
I'd like to go to a show to support those of you that do show one day. Keep us informed of when and where they are.

Are non showing dogs prohibited from attending?
Yes unfortunatly they are not allowed in, although you can take them and leave them in a tented area, which is supervised at some.
Val you will love it, the ones that go to cause trouble , well they tend to sit in a huddle and whisper about everyone (except themselves). Remember what goes around comes around and they will only ever bring upon themselves BAD LUCK.

The real doggy lovers all look happy, you can actually read it in their faces.

ITS FUN for all who love dogs more than themselves.
I'd be interested to come to a show- need to start looking at how things work in the show world. Maybe we should arrange a group outing of eurobichonites! And kick some ass!
:q:Yes that would be great depending on where it would be, have transport but live on the north Wales border, so would need to know when shows are well in advance.
That's a great pic of Lulu! Love that touch of silver on her ears.
Yes, her colouring's funBiggrin. Just wish I hadn't had her clipped, plus she had her neck shaved twice for blood tests! It will take a while to regrow. So I will be going to shows on my own for a while.

Sad
The next show we will be attending will be Manchester in Jan next year.
