Ok my 3 month old Bichon will not poop on his wee wee pads. What I have done is place down 2 seperate pads in to different locations hoping that he will wee on one and poop on the other. But nope. He decides to wee on both and then poop on the floor or carpet. What can I do?
Ok so when he does take a piece of it an put it on the pad so it attracts him
I've tried that all he does is sniff it and strolls right on by. This evening he pooped on my daughters bean bag chair? Of all places?:j:
patience is a virtue honey:*)
He will start to go anywhere in the house if he doesnt have a certain place to go. You must watch for the signs of poop time, mine used to do a little dance thing before going, i would then jump up and place them outside.
Patience and consistancy is a must. Keep placing that poop onto the mat like Karen says it will work.
I put only one pad down by her bed and her food area. So she knew this was her little domain and didnt confuse her. I started by putting strips of newspaper on her pad when I changed the paper I kept a dirty piece on it so she could smell it gradually I got rid of the paper . if she did wee or poo I use to get a piece of the newspaper and dirty it and put it back on the pad. Also if the pad got too dirty she wouldnt use it and go on the floor next to it. I never put her nose in her mess she wouldn;t know why I did it anyway . If she started to go somewhere else I would tell her no and pick her up in the act and place her on her tray.... persevere with it within a few weeks you would have cracked it xxx ( its a bit like potty training ! )

Notice the little signs .. Bumble will softly winge at me if she is on the sofa and cant get down on the floor to use her tray, or she would sniff around then I would pick her up and place her on the tray. If she needed to go she would or if not she wouldnt !
